Crohn’s Disease Treatment

A Natural Remedy for Crohn’s Disease Treatment

Crohn’s Disease is a chronic condition that causes inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth down to the large intestine. The most common areas affected is the small intestine.

The causes of Crohn’s disease are mostly unknown. Research indicatess it can be hereditary, with around 20% of people with Crohn’s having a close relative suffering from the condition. People of Ashkenazi descent are also more prone to develop Crohn’s.

Whilst people of any age can develop Crohn’s, statistics show that it’s more likely to develop when you’re younger with the majority of cases being diagnosed before the age of 30.

Symptoms of Crohn’s Disease are:

  • Chronic diarrhea – quite often bloody and can also contain mucus or pus
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Abdominal pain/cramping and also the feeling of being bloated
  • Reduced appetite
  • Perianal disease – Also known as Perianal Crohn’s Disease (or PCD), this is inflammation at or near the anus, due to a tunnel into the skin caused by fistula, tags, fissures, abscesses or stenosis. Symptoms of this include itching, pain, bleeding, discharge and incontinence of stool.

Children suffering from this condition may also experience decreased growth or delayed sexual development with women at a higher risk of developing difficulty conceiving.

People suffering from more severe cases can also suffer from inflammation of the eyes, joints, skin and the liver or bile ducts with gallstones and kidney stones developing as a result of Crohn’s Disease.

Autoimmune Diseases such as Crohn’s vary from person to person so whilst the treatment protocol below is a general overview, we always recommend booking a consultation face to face or if this is not possible then a consultation over the phone is also available.

Diet for Crohn’s:

Organic banana and apple are some of the most effective fruits in the treatment of Crohn’s. It is advised by the medical profession that individuals living with Crohn’s should take 2-3 ripe bananas in their diet per day. Banana plays a very important role in quick recovery. Likewise, apple is also an effective medicine. Apples are rich in minerals like iron and phosphate. Patient suffering from Crohn’s should be given boiled apple. Papaya is also very good for the treatment of Crohn’s. Patient may eat ripe, organic papaya or can make its juice.

Boiled, organic brown rice (washed before cooking) is also very good for patients suffering from Crohn’s. Patient may take brown rice, mixed with fresh curd and banana. Eat a small bowl of brown rice with a small cup of fresh curd and 1-2 ripe bananas. This can be taken 1-3 times daily. Buttermilk: Buttermilk is soothing for patients suffering from Crohn’s. Similarly, coconut water is also very healthy for Crohn’s patient. Patient should may this drink 3-4 times daily.

A balanced and organic diet is essential to keeping your body fit and healthy. Individuals suffering from Crohn’s should take food rich in green leafy vegetables like greens, cabbage and carrot. The diet should also include fruits like papaya, apple, and banana as mentioned above. With citrus fruits like orange being strictly avoided. Patients may wish to start their Mercy Oil treatment with a strict juice diet, in which they can only take freshly prepared juice 3-4 times a day. This continues for 8-9 days, after that they can be given balanced diet. Junk foods, sweets, chocolates, hard and soft drink should be strictly avoided.

Stress free life is also a great way of keeping away from various diseases. Live a healthy life style, go for walk and maintain regular exercise and mediation. All this helps in treating Crohn’s and also contributes to making your life disease free.
