Thirty-five years of
one family, one craft.

My father came to London from the mountains of the Black Sea in the 1960s. He brought very little with him, but what he carried inside him, a devotion to people and to the natural world, never left.

In 1991 he had a dream. A field stretching as far as the eye could see, filled with a single plant, swaying in the breeze. He travelled across Turkey to find it. What he discovered was Nigella Sativa, the Black Seed, and he spent the rest of his life farming, pressing and sharing its medicine.

He introduced the UK's first organic cold-pressed Black Seed Oil. He pioneered amber glass bottling, published the first chemical analysis of his oils, and brought the significance of Thymoquinone to public attention long before it was widely understood. Most of the methods of how to use Black seed oil found globally today, stem from his pioneering early work. NHS consultants sought him out privately. He established his own farm, grew his own seeds, and donated freely to clinics and organisations across Africa, the US, Europe and Asia.

But what I really remember the open door and the constant flow of clients. The pot of tea that was always on. The people who came with their troubles and left feeling safe, lighter and hopeful of a better healthier future.

He established and nurtured a beautiful way of working, crafting organic plant extracts complimented with a significant body of knowledge gained from tens of thousands of hours in his clinic.
